We are going to be working on three trails this summer!
1. New trail to Forestville!
2. New trail from Forester to Port Sanilac! We are meeting with Sanilac Twp. on July 1st, it looks like we may have a route into Port Sanilac
3. New trail from Marlette to North Branch, Kingston, and Hemans! We had 8 people show up to help layout a proposed trail from Marlette to Kingston. The first hurdle is getting permission from the County Road Commission to use the ROW for snowmobile use. So far it looks like this is going to happen! But it not a done deal until we have the signed paper work.

We are also looking at several trail improvement projects that will need to be completed before the snow fall again! We are taking bids on installing tubes at the water crossing, and converting a mobile home frame into removable bridge for snowmobiles. The Club has purchased a four place enclosed snowmobile trailer to store all of the signs and equipment that we have acquired over the past three years. We are currently installing shelves and cabinets for storage.
Groomers! The latest information that we have is that we are getting the tractors with tacks and blades that we wanted but instead of buying them outright the DNR is going to have us lease them! The only thing that we still are working on is getting new drags to replace our worn out ones!
New Trail Maps Will be Here before the next season! We are working on a new web page where you will be able to buy online, you will still be able to send us a check or money order for $7.00 ($5.00 for the Map and $2.00 S&H) to Thumbs Up Snowmobile Club, P.O. Box 141 Deckerville, MI 48427 and we will rush one out to you.
