Wow! Did we have a Winter or What!

Thank you to everyone who helped to sign, clear and groom the trails this year. The e-mails that we received were very encouraging.

I hope that you had a chance to enjoy the trails this year and are looking forward to the next season. We are working on several new trails and could sure use a lot of help in getting the landowners to sign the Trail Permits.

Now that the season is over we have the task of removing the signs before the farmers start plowing and planting there fields. We will be starting to remove them on April 4th and 5th so please come out and help. I have posted this information on the Trail Report and will have addition information and future dates posted there. We always have a good time working with fellow snowmobilers at these work bees.

At this time it looks like we will be able to open the Minden City and Ruth trails this next winter. To do this, it will be necessary to have more volunteers come forward to work on the trails this fall. We learned this past year that it takes four people all day to sign and brush just 5 miles of trail! This coming fall we will have over 100 miles to sign and clear.

Looking ahead we are working on the plans for a Grass Drag to be held in October! If you would like to help out please contact Race Committee Chairman "George Peters at Home 810-327-6942 or Cell 810-650-9722" use the "Contact" link at the top of this page or just come to one of our meetings. We are also looking for a name to call this event so put your thinking caps on and come up with a name that will stick in peoples minds, like Hay Days which I am sure most of us have heard of!

We are planning a club picnic again this year but we are going to do it a bit diff rent. We are looking into having a pig roast and inviting all of the landowners to attend. We want to show them how much we appreciate them allowing us to use there land for the sport that we love!

Sorry about the club minutes not getting updated! I am working on fixing the problem and will post a notice once it is back up and running.
